Take part in this new edition of “Flammes”, in the main courtyard of the impressive Château de Bomal. A theatrical torchlight walk in the woods of Bomal, near Durbuy, takes you on a journey of discovery through local history.

Superstition, deeply rooted in the region for centuries, has left its mark on people’s behavior. The characters you meet along the way are prime examples… Fears, hopes and beliefs are buried deep within us, but don’t they still dictate the way we act today?

The event will take place at Château de Bomal, an enchanting and impressive venue in the Durbuy region. For 3 nights, the château’s main courtyard will be transformed into a place of magic and wonder!

“Flames” is:

  • More than 200 volunteers
  • Involved merchants
  • Clubs and associations
  • People from all 4 corners of the region committed to a quality show
  • Fireworks bring the festivities to a close

By its very nature, “Flammes” aims to

  • Touristic, to attract both “locals” keen to (re)discover walks, and tourists looking for originality and attraction.
  • Convivial, because the fact that each group is accompanied by people who know their village and can explain its peculiarities brings them closer together.
  • Cultural, as “Flammes” allows us to discover the legends of the region and parts of local history.
  • Folk music concerts and late-night entertainment!
  • Gastronomy, with a variety of stalls run by confraternities, artisan butchers and cheesemakers who will introduce you to local delicacies.

It’s a state of mind, a moment of reverie, a moment of happiness!
